![]() Within the Dome of the Skylon Tower, the circular design and provision of three separate and complete levels make it possible for all visitors to enjoy an unobstructed view. Viewing conditions are further enhanced through the use of a special grey glass in the windows to diffuse sunlight and reduce glare. These windows allow for quality photographs to be taken from the inside deck on those occasions when inclement weather defers one from strolling the outside area. |

| Maid Of The Mist Boat Ride | |||
![]() |
|||
|
Small rowboats were the first to operate as ferries
across the Niagara River below the Falls, piloting passengers as early as
1834. From the first Maid of the Mist, a sidewheel steamboat launched in
1846, to the steel double-deckers of today, the boats have grown in size
and capacity throughout the Maid's 150-plus-year history.
We regard the launching of the steamer as an event something more than ordinary... the scenery around, the majesty of the thundering cataract above, the fierce rapids, the high embankments on both sides...combine to produce a scene surpassingly good and romantic. Whoever visits Niagara will not have seen half its wonders till they have taken a trip on the steamer The Maid. Visit their website: http://www.maidofthemist.com/ |

The Niagara Falls Aquarium |

|
|
|||
|
Since its birth over thirty seven years
ago as the "First Inland Oceanarium", the Aquarium of Niagara has
seen over 7.5 million visitors, tourists, teachers, and students pass
through its doors. It was the first aquarium to use synthetic seawater to
exclusively maintain marine life. More than forty exhibits showcase 1,500
aquatic animals from around the globe. The schedule includes exciting shark feedings (on alternate days), and sessions with the California sea lions every 90 minutes in the 100,000 gallon central pool. Moray eels, piranhas, clownfish and the brilliantly colored fish of the coral reefs compliment the regional freshwater exhibits of sturgeon, gar, and rock bass. Enjoy the breathtaking view of the mist from the Falls and the majestic Niagara River gorge from the Aquarium’s Observation Deck. Their ‘Fin’esse Gift Shop offers a sea of treasures. The Aquarium of Niagara is handicap accessible, and parking is always free for their visitors! The Aquarium of Niagara is one of only 17 institutions in North America to house a colony of the endangered Peruvian penguin. Two daily penguin feedings provide visitors an opportunity to "Meet the Keeper" and learn about these fascinating aquatic birds! Visit their website: http://www.aquariumofniagara.org |
